Top seed Rafael Nadal claimed his 10th title of
the season with a 5-7 6-1 6-2 victory over Argentina's Guillermo Coria in the
final of the China Open on Sunday.
Bouncing back from an error-filled first set, Nadal beat the second-seeded
Coria in a final for the third time in five months.
The 19-year-old overcame Coria in Monte Carlo in mid-April and outlasted him
in a five-hour match on the clay in Rome in May.
Nadal, who beat world number one Roger Federer en route to capturing the
French Open, improved to 72-10 for the season, pulling even with the Swiss star
for most titles on the tour this year.
Struggling with his serve throughout the first set, Nadal was broken to go
down 6-5 before Coria closed it out on his own service game.
But the teenager struck back quickly, breaking Coria twice en route to taking
the second set in just 30 minutes.
After grabbing an early break in the third, Nadal cruised to his second
hardcourt title in four events.
