Nicolas Massu captured his fifth career ATP title with a routine victory over Gaston Gaudio in the Generali Open.
Both players had to play twice in one day after rain wiped out any chance of play on Saturday.
Gaudio, the French Open champion appearing in his fourth straight final, was clearly feeling the pace more as Chilean baseliner Massu edged a tight first set on a tie-break.

Massu, the No. 3 seed who lost in the final in Kitzbuehel last year against Guillermo Coria, seized his chance before claiming a 7-6 (3), 6-4 win.
