Argentine qualifier Guillermo Canas picked up the first title of his career after capturing the Grand Prix Hassan II tournament in Casablanca.
Canas, 23, defeated young Spaniard Tommy Robredo in straight sets, 7-5 6-2, to become only the second qualifier to win a title this year.
He said: "I am very happy to have won my first ATP title, I was dreaming about it all the time.
"This week I just played unbelievable."
Robredo, 18, was playing in his first ATP final after disposing of local hero Younes El Aynaoui in the semi-finals.
Canas, who missed most of last year's tour because of surgery on his left wrist, joined Guillermo Perez-Roldan, as the second Argentinian to win the Casablanca event.
