Andre Agassi captured his record fourth Ericsson Open title by routing fellow American Jan-Michael Gambill 7-6 (7-4) 6-1 6-0 in the final of the hardcourt event.
The third-seeded Agassi needed less than two hours to improve earn his third tournament victory of the season.
The win means that Agassi becomes the all-time leader in Tennis Masters Series titles with 12 after he drew level with Pete Sampras with a win over his countryman two weeks ago in the final at Indian Wells, California.
Agassi began the season by winning his seventh career Grand Slam title at the Australian Open, and also appeared in the final at San Jose, California, where he lost to Greg Rusedski.
At almost 31, the Las Vegas native became the oldest winner in the 17-year history of this event with his 48th career singles title.
Gambill, the 19th seed, was broken six times in his first Tennis Masters Series final.
The 23-year-old was looking for his third career title and second of the year after winning at Delray Beach, Florida last month.
