Hicks - reached semis back in 1995.

ANDY HICKS

World Ranking: 62
Provisional Ranking: 60
Date Of Birth: 10/08/73
World Championship best: Semi-finalist - 1995

Andy Hicks is best remembered for a golden spell on the tour in the mid-1990s.

During that period Hicks, who hails from Devon, made the semi-finals of the B&H Masters, UK Championship and the World Championship.

His Crucible run - as a qualifier - saw him stun Steve Davis in the first round before Willie Thorne and Peter Ebdon were also beaten. Nigel Bond eventually proved too good in the last four.

Having slumped down the rankings in recent years, Hicks has done well to qualify for Sheffield once more.

Lacks matches on the main tour though this term. Faces Aussie Quinten Hann in the first round.
