White - yet to win the world crown.

(15) JIMMY WHITE

World Ranking: 15
Provisional Ranking: 10
Date Of Birth: 02/05/62
World Championship best: Runner-up – six times

Always the bridesmaid, never the bride.

That's Jimmy White's World Championship CV in a nutshell.

And at the age of 41, it's a tag he's unlikely to shake off.

The nearest he came to capturing the sport's greatest prize came back in 1994 when he left a run-of-the-mill black in the jaws in the final frame against Stephen Hendry and never got a second chance.

To this day the charasmatic Londoner remains a crowd favourite.

And he's certainly given the fans plenty to cheer this season, reaching the semi-finals at the UK Championship and The Masters, finishing runner-up at the European Open and winning the Players Championship recently in Glasgow.
