A season of great credit will come to a close for Sean Storey at the Crucible with the Grimsby player unlikely to be too disappointed whatever the outcome.
After winning an amazing 22 out of 28 matches it can only be cause for celebration for the professional from Humberside.
Apart from the World, his best performances have been reserved for the British Open and Irish Masters where he reached the last 48.
This has had a reasonable effect on his provisional ranking which has risen 15 places to number 67.
With the World Championship points still to be accounted for, Storey will secure a top 64 placing.
This will be Storey's second appearance at the Crucible after previously recording his debut against Ireland's Joe Swail.
After leading 9-7 Storey saw his hopes of a second round place diminish as the `Outlaw' salvaged some pride and a key to the last 16.
This time round he faces another Joe in the form of the world number 13 Perry and will hope to improve on his first appearance.
