HENRY DOMINATES HISTORIC SESSION
Michaela Tabb stole the show on Saturday night as Drew Henry and Mark King started out on
their first round tie.
The 35-year-old from Dunfermline is the first woman to officiate at the
Crucible Theatre.
And it was an incident-free opening session for the mum of one, married to
Scottish pool star Ross McInnes, to control.
Indeed, her historic debut was the highlight of a disappointing session.
Henry, the world number 22 from Rutherglen, at least had the satisfaction of
gaining a 6-3 lead over a player he defeated at the corresponding stage three
years ago.
Henry's best break was 89 while King's highest was just 41.
The winner plays Stephen Hendry or Gary Wilkinson for a place in the
quarter-finals and Henry is only four frames away from round two.
Tabb will again be in charge when the game concludes on Sunday afternoon.
