Provisional world ranking: 19
Age: 26

Mark is another player not assured of a top 16 place for next season. However, his form has picked up of late with a quarter-final appearance at the Thailand Masters.
He reached his first major final in 1997 Regal Welsh, losing 9-2 to Stephen Hendry.
Coming from Romford, also the home of Steve Davis MBE, Mark has always aimed for the top. As with every player, it has always been his ambition to be the best in the world but with Mark one venue in particular stands out for him.
He loves playing at Wembley Conference for the Masters, which is just another incentive to hold onto his coveted position in order to gain automatic qualification.
A good performance in the World Championships his year should help him achieve his goal.
