1999/2000 ranking form: British - RU, Grand Prix - R3, UK - R3, China - R1, Welsh - SF, Malta - R1, Thailand - Qual, Scottish - R5.
Peter Ebdon first hit the big time when he beat Steve Davis 10-4 on his debut in the 1992 World Championship. That performance led to the WPBSA awarding him the Newcomer of the Year award for that year.
Peter began this season in good form, losing out to Stephen Hendry in the final of the British Open.
But over the last couple of years Peter has suffered a dip in form and has only recently began to rediscover what we know he is capable of.
His place in the top 16 isn't as stable as he would like it to be but he is a man with the ability to win, shown when he captured his two ranking titles.
Peter also has the distinction of being only the second ever player to make two maximum breaks in professional tournament play.
