McManus is one of the snooker's most consistent performers. He has been in the top eight for many seasons despite only winning two ranking events.
He has gone four years since last winning a major title but he still continues to produce the goods when needed to keep hold of his position in the rankings.
In addition to his two ranking titles, McManus won the B&H Masters in 1994, a victory that broke Stephen Hendry's run of five successive Wembley titles.
He has appeared in 20 professional finals but has only managed to secure victory in four of them.
His 5-0 defeat by Peter Ebdon in the 1998 Grand Prix was his first ever whitewash. It was his 312th match.
