Drew Henry clinched a top-32 place in the 1999-2000 season after reaching the second round of the Embassy World Championship.

He failed to qualify for the event in 2001 but a semi-final finish in the China Open ensured he moved up to 18th in the rankings.

Henry made his Crucible debut in 1994 and almost pulled off a shock victory against John Parrott.

The 1991 world champion looked to be on his way out until Henry suffered an horrendous ‘kick’ in the deciding frame, which allowed his opponent to get back to the table and sneak a 10-9 win.

He returned to Sheffield two years later only to lose to Darren Morgan.

His run in the China Open aside, Henry’s career highlight so far is reaching the quarter-finals of the 1996 Regal Welsh. He beat six-times world champion Steve Davis along the way before going out to Paul Hunter.
