The old Lang Park, venue of bruising State of Origin rugby league matches down the years, has been redeveloped into an impressive 52,500 all-seater stadium in Brisbane.

Overwhelming demand for tickets forced the World Cup organisers to switch games scheduled for Ballymore - Queensland's spiritual home of rugby - to the Suncorp.

This was the venue for England's infamous 76-0 thumping by Australia in 1998's tour from hell.

Clive Woodward's side return to face Uruguay as one of nine fixtures here - making it the busiest stadium of the tournament.
