RODNEY SO'OIALO

Born: 03.10.79
Height: 6ft 2in
Weight: 16st 3lb
Position: Number Eight/Flanker
Club: Wellington
Caps: 3
Points: 0

A dynamic flanker or number eight, So'oialo won a gold medal at the 2002 Commonwealth Games playing Sevens for New Zealand.

A former U21 international, he made his Test debut in November 2002 against Wales and was also a member of the New Zealand Sevens team that won the Rugby World Cup Sevens in Argentina in 2001.

He was substituted against England earlier this year after struggling at number eight, but he can only learn from that and is sure to be a star of the future.

Might not get too much game time in this World Cup, but look out for him in years to come.

His older brother Stephen has represented Samoa, the country of Rodney's birth.
