MARTY HOLAH

Born: 10.09.76
Height: 6ft
Weight: 15st 4lb
Position: Flanker
Club: Waikato
Caps: 17
Points: 10

Holah made his debut in June 2001 against Samoa, and has since gone on to earn 17 Test caps, scoring two tries.

His call-up for the Test against Samoa meant he became the 999th player to represent New Zealand, and came just two years after he made his debut for Waikato.

Holah seems to battling with the superb Richard McCaw for a place in the side, despite his recent performances making him probably close to winning a spot in any World XV.

Although he started as a half-back, he soon switched to the loose forward position and made his way through the Waikato sides, before being selected by the Chiefs Super 12 team.

He has struggled somewhat this year with the Chiefs, and although he remains a key part of the All Blacks squad he has spent most of this year's internationals sitting on the bench.
