Weight: 17st
Position: Hooker
Club: Canterbury
Caps: 24
Points: 15

A key player for the Canterbury club in the Super 12 competition, 'Hammer' Hammett has represented New Zealand at U17, U19, U21 and A level, as well as earning 24 senior caps.

The 31-year-old hooker started New Zealand's 2003 international season as first-choice, playing in the defeat against England, but has found himself in and out of the team ever since, losing his place to Keven Mealamu.

Is under pressure to keep his place as Mealamu's back-up from Canterbury team-mate Corey Flynn , but his vast experience could see him get the nod from his uncapped rival, especially as he uses his size and power well when coming off the bench.

Has scored three tries in his Test career, and will be hoping for one last chance to shine on the biggest stage of all.
