2 min: Gets his first chance to slip a neat pass out to Brendan Cannon but Ben Kay quickly closes him down.

6 min: Spreads play out to Stephen Larkham on the left, whose superb kick is gathered by Lote Tuqiri in the corner to touch down the first score.

13 min: Shows quick hands to release Stirling Mortlock, who nearly breaks through England's defence but is held up by Neil Back.

18 min: Gets a chance to open up play on the right but Cannon spills his pass to hand a scrum to England on half-way.

22 min: Does well to shield Matt Dawson from the ball at the scrum and finds Phil Waugh who is held up by England just inside their own half.

28 min: Caught by the boot of Richard Hill, who is trying to kick clear, but quickly gets to his feet.

31 min: Sets up a slick Australia attack with a long pass out to David Lyons on the left but Lawrence Dallaglio does well to hold up the play and England escape with a line-out.

34 min: Fails to find Mat Rogers with a poor pass after Australia win England's line out deep in their own territory, but Rogers recovers to hack the ball clear.

37 min: Picked up and dumped out of play by Mike Tindall after Jason Robinson's kick-and-chase is blocked. England win the line-out and Robinson goes in at the corner for a try to make it Australia 5-14 England.

46 min: Collects the ball from Lyons but runs out of options and taps the ball into touch on the England 22 line.

54 min: Caught in two minds as Martin Johnson breaks through, but Larkham eventually steps in to stop Dawson.

60 min: Tries to put Tuqiri clear but Phil Vickery chases back and concedes a penalty. Elton Flatley converts the kick to make it Australia 11-14 England.

63 min: Does well to get the ball out to George Smith who in turn releases Mortlock who just fails to race clear of the England defence.

73 min: Slips a pass out to Flatley, who is eventually tackled by Back on the England 22.

74 min: Tries to wriggle free of the England forwards and break clear, but Trevor Woodman produces a fine tackle.

82 min: Attempts to find Rogers wide out on the left, but England win possession.

87 min: Spreads out play to the right following a line-out on England's 22 but play is held up by substitute Mike Catt.

91 min: Just manages to get the ball out to Smith following a scrum on half-way but a crunching tackle from Dawson forces an Australia knock-on.

93 min: Puts a clever grubber kick through to Tuquri on the wing, forcing Richard Hill to concede a line-out.

96 min: Opts to go down the blind side to substitute Joe Roff but Robinson does well to hold up play inside England's 22.
