ENGLAND v WALES RATINGS

ENGLAND

Jason Robinson: Comfortable throughout under the high ball, solid in the tackle and made the run that set up the game-breaking try for Greenwood. 8/10

Dan Luger: Dropped a high kick early on and looked uncomfortable before being swiftly replaced at half-time. 5

Will Greenwood: Looked strong on rare occasions when he got the ball. Spurned one chance, but took try well before departing after 55 minutes. 7

Mike Tindall: Quiet and ineffective in first half, but made some inroads later on. 6

Ben Cohen: Started badly with a poor error but made some strong runs and produced one excellent try-saving tackle. 7

Jonny Wilkinson: Off colour in the first half, kicking and handling poorly. More like his usual self after the break. 8

Matt Dawson: Struggled to make an impact before giving way to Bracken after 67 minutes. 6

Justin Leonard: Allowed Wales to dominate early on and was replaced by Trevor Woodman after 46 minutes. 6

Steve Thompson: Some poor line-out work early on, but raised his game in second half. 6

Phil Vickery: Needed to improve after the break to snuff out the Welsh threat. 7

Martin Johnson: Certainly not his usual self, but looked to have tightened up on the disciplinary front. 6

Ben Kay: Worked hard but was sloppy in the first half.

Lewis Moody: Another hard worker and saved a certain-looking try in the first half. 7

Neil Back: Conceded needless penalties in the first half. Not greatly impressive. 5

Lawrence Dallaglio: Looked slow and second best on many occasions. 6

Replacements:

Trevor Woodman: Worked hard after replacing Leonard. 6

Kyran Bracken: Looked lively than Dawson after replacing him late on. 6

Mike Catt: Made a big difference after his half-time introduction. Perked England up no end. 7

Stuart Abbott: Proved a hard-working replacement for Greenwood. 6

Mark Jones: Also put England under pressure and was dangerous when given space. 7

Mark Taylor: Occasionally a threat and produced one brilliant tackle and a vital time. 7

Shane Williams: Broke the line up a couple of times and outstanding in build up for first try. 8

Gareth Cooper: Brilliant break for first try, kicked well, handling was slick and his runs forceful. 8

Iestyn Thomas: Hard-working in the front row. 7
