80 min: CONVERSION - PATERSON. Paterson slots over the conversion with the last kick of the game.

80 min: TRY - RUSSELL. Finally Scotland get a try as they get a good rolling maul going, When they go over the line, Russell is the man with ball in hand and Mather driving him over. Just reward for some gallant play from the Scots.

79 min: Scotland win the line-out and get a good drive going to within five metres of the Australia line. A further burst takes them to within half a metre but again it's repulsed. Penalty to Scotland as Australia come in from the side. Smith finds touch with a quick kick.

78 min: Paul knocks on in midfield to present the ball to Scotland. Danielli kicks ahead but Roff is able to track back into his own in-goal area and kick into touch down the left.

78 min: Waugh is back out of the blood bin with a huge bandage around his forehead.

77 min: Australia seem content to work the ball through their forwards but Scotland manage to turn it over. There's been an illegal hand in the ruck, though.

76 min: Scotland bring James McLaren on for Townsend.

75 min: Waugh is sent to the blood bin with a head wound bleeding. Cannon comes on as the blood replacement.

75 min: Scotland are pinged for not pushing in straight at the scrum. Smith the man penalised there.

74 min: Scotland get half a chance but a poor pass from Murray sees the ball back in Australian hands.

74 min: Giteau has to hobble out of the action with what appears to be an ankle injury. Daniel Vickerman is the man on to replace him. Lyons has gone into the fly-half slot!

74 min: Australia are looking to run everything now as they seek to put a gloss on the scoreline. This time Lyons knocks forward.

73 min: Scotland bring Robbie Russell on for Bulloch. The replacement's first act is to throw in at the line-out, and unsurprisingly Australia nick the ball.

72 min: Roff is able to mark a kick over the top after Scotland win the line-out and kick ahead. The full-back finds touch, but without much distance. Scotland line-out.

71 min: Terrible hands up front from Scotland presents Australia with free ball after a knock-on. Tuqiri spills it forward having used up the advantage, though, and Scotland come again. Sailor has to come back well to retain possession under pressure from Simon Danielli and Flatley clears into touch.

70 min: Giteau takes play up to halfway with a good kick down the left.

69 min: Gordon McIlwham is on for Scotland, with Douglas making way.

68 min: Scotland again look to get the rolling maul on but this time when it's halted they look wide. Having run out of space, it comes back towards the right, but there's a forward pass. Townsend knocked on in any case, so it'll be Australia's put-in.

67 min: Paterson finds touch. Scotland's line-out five metres out.

66 min: Scotland win the line-out ball and look to get the rolling maul on for the line. It comes down a couple of metres out but Scotland are able to recycle it. Penalty to Scotland which they take quickly. They go through phase after phase before the penalty comes from Australia. Scotland are hitting a wall up front.

66 min: Australia bring Chris Whitaker on for skipper Gregan.

66 min: Penalty to Scotland as Australia hold on in the tackle straight from the restart. Paterson pumps the ball into the corner. Scotland's line-out on the Australia 5m line.

66 min: Australia bring on Ali Baxter for Darwin while Scotland have replaced White with John Petrie.

65 min: CONVERSION - FLATLEY. Flatley adds the extras from in front.

64 min: TRY - LYONS. Lyons drives off the back of the scrum and just manages to stretch over the Scotland line with the ball in his hand.

64 min: Australia go for the scrum.

63 min: Australia get to within five or so metres of the Scotland line before Hines transgresses at the ruck. Penalty to the Wallabies in a great attacking position.

62 min: Scotland win the ball against the throw but again their control up front lets them down and it's spilt forward. Scrum to Australia on Scotland's 22.

62 min: Australia make a change at hooker with Jeremy Paul replacing Cannon. Scotland bring Scott Murray on for Grimes.

61 min: Taylor picks it up and goes from the base of the scrum and it's worked back to Paterson. He finds touch on the full, though, with a terribly shanked kick. Line-out to Australia.

61 min: Scotland get the ball back from the restart but again they allow it to be turned over. Australia can't do anything with it, though, as Sharpe knocks forward and it'll be Scotland's put-in at the scrum.

61 min: Australia bring Joe Roff on for Rogers.

60 min: CONVERSION - FLATLEY. Routine stuff from Flatley.

59 min: TRY - GREGAN. Redpath is unable to gather the ball slapped back from the line-out and Phil Waugh picks it up and bursts into the Scotland 22. The Australians spin it wide to Tuqiri, who comes in off his wing and gets to within 10m of the line. The ball is recycled on the Australian side and Gregan kicks ahead before nipping in to touch down.

58 min: Scotland win the ball at the front of the line-out and Sharpe is pulled up as he slows down the ball illegally.

57 min: Australia manage to nick the line-out ball with Giteau in quickly to consolidate it. Mortlock is there in support and finds touch down the right.

57 min: White takes the ball well at the line-out and it's a penalty for Scotland as Ben Darwin fails to roll away from the tackle. Paterson finds touch down the right.

56 min: Australia work it through their backs after winning the scrum and Rogers - in the line - is able to spiral a kick into touch down the left. Scotland's line-out on their own 10m line.

55 min: Australia get the shove on from the scrum and Redpath has to go himself from the back. There's a good base in midfield, but a forward pass out to Logan is spotted by the referee.

54 min: Australia bring Matt Giteau on for Larkham.

54 min: Australia work a nice move from the scrum but it's knocked on by Gregan as he tries to pick it from the ruck and move it into the three-quarter line.

53 min: White is first to the restart but he can only divert it forward. Scrum to Australia.

52 min: PENALTY - FLATLEY. No worries for Flatley as he stretches Australia's lead.

51 min: Townsend's kick downfield is returned with interest by the Australians as they get to within 10m of the Scotland line. There's a penalty coming so Gregan runs the free ball. It comes to nothing, so the referee pulls it back for hands at the ruck. Australia will go for the posts.

50 min: Cockbain wins the line-out for Australia and they spin it out wide to the left. Tuqiri is held up on the Scotland 22 and the Wallabies have to recycle it. It's fed into the path of Larkham and he goes for the drop goal. The ball bounces down off the bar and Scotland are able to clear.

49 min: White wins line-out ball but Larkham is up quickly to charge down a kick from Townsend. Scotland manage to get it back on their side and Townsend finds touch.

48 min: Good line-out ball from Scotland and Taylor springs around the front of the line-out to take Scotland to the edge of the Australia 22. The Wallabies turn it over, though, and this time Larkham gets good yardage on his clearance kick.

48 min: Australia gather the restart and Larkham finds touch down the right. It's not the best kick, but he has given his side the chance to gather their thoughts after scoring. Scotland bring Ben Hinshelwood on for Metcalfe.

47 min: CONVERSION - FLATLEY. A routine conversion from Flatley.

46 min: TRY - MORTLOCK. Good ball from the scrum and Townsend is almost sprung through the line. Australia just get a hand on him, though, and manage to turn it over inside their own half. They work it out quickly and Mortlock breaks through Metcalfe's tackle to run in unopposed.

45 min: Scotland win the line-out ball and get the put-in at the scrum as Nathan Sharpe knocks on as he tackles Bulloch around the fringes.

44 min: Redpath opts to kick ahead after Scotland win the scrum. Rogers tracks across and kicks for touch, finding it on his own 10m line. A good opportunity for the Scots.

43 min: Scotland ensure Australia's line-out ball is far from crisp but Gregan manages to tidy it up. Rogers is in the line for the Wallabies and he takes two men out before flicking it inside. Sailor knocks on, though, so it's Scotland's put-in at the scrum.

42 min: Logan does well to gather a chip ahead from Larkham and recycle it on the Scotland side. Paterson is there quickly and pumps the ball out of play down the right.

41 min: Scotland clean up the restart well and Paterson pumps the ball downfield. Lyons keeps it in play and Australia are on the offensive. Larkham kicks downfield to Metcalfe, and his return kick takes play to the Scotland 10m from inside his own 22.

41 min: Australia have replaced George Smith with Matt Cockbain.

HT: Australia 9 Scotland 9.

40 min: Townsend hoists the ball over the top but fails to find touch. Sailor brings it back to the Australia 10m line but the Wallabies have two kicks charged down. Unfortunately for Scotland, neither stick and when the second kick is charged out of play, the referee calls a halt to proceedings.

39 min: Tom Smith is back to rejoin the pack but can't prevent Australia from winning the ball. They spin it wide and are allowed to continue despite there looking to be some crossing in midfield. It's eventually spilled by Sailor, though, and Scotland get the scrum.

38 min: Tom Smith is a little slow getting back to his feet after a huge hit from Tuqiri.

37 min: DROP GOAL - PATERSON. Scotland get some good ball in the middle of the field and Paterson steps back into the pocket. Redpath flicks the ball to him and he slots it between the post from 40m or more. A fine kick.

36 min: PENALTY - FLATLEY. Flatley slots over the penalty.

35 min: Australia win good line-out ball and look to work it wide. There's an early tackle from Henderson, though, and it's Australia's penalty just outside the Scotland 22 and pretty much in front of the posts.

35 min: Scotland gather the restart well but there's a misunderstanding in the half-backs and Henderson has to hack into touch down the left after Redpath's pass fell behind Townsend.

34 min: PENALTY - PATERSON. Paterson's penalty just creeps over the crossbar and between the posts to level matters.

33 min: Rogers springs through the Scotland defensive line, but the referee has pulled them back for obstruction from Young. That's a good spot from the official, with Tom Smith clearly blocked out by his rival prop.

32 min: Grimes wins the line-out and Scotland take the ball up to the 22 through White. There seems to be a lack of ideas in midfield, though, and this time it's knocked on after a poor pass from Townsend.

31 min: Australia win the ball at the scrum, but Sailor spills it forward. Townsend hoists a clever kick towards Logan on the left, but the referee has pulled it back for Sailor's knock-on. The scrum becomes a penalty as Sailor gets involved in some afters. Paterson finds touch down the right.

30 min: Nathan Hines is back on his feet after a bit of treatment from the Scotland phsio, while Gordon Bulloch has been saved the blood bin by some patch-up work.

29 min: Scotland win the line-out ball and Redpath opts to hoist a ball over the top. It's slapped back on the Scotland side but Grimes knocks it on sloppily. Scrum to Australia just inside the Scotland half.

28 min: Taylor goes off the base of the scrum but can't find a team-mate with his pass inside. The ball is worked to Rogers, who finds touch down the right on the Scotland 10m line.

27 min: Mather takes the ball from the line-out at the back with his feet on the floor but Australia turn it over at the ruck. After a couple of phases, Lyons knocks it forward and Scotland have a scrum in the middle of the field between the Australia 22 and their 10m line.

26 min: Scotland make the best of some messy ball at the line-out and Young is penalised for putting a stray hand in the ruck. Paterson finds touch down the right, taking play to the brink of the Australia 22.

25 min: Scotland work the ball out to the right from the line-out but Metcalfe chooses the wrong option. His kick over the top is gathered by Tuqiri. The ball is worked to Rogers and he pumps the ball into touch down the left, pegging Scotland back into their own half.

24 min: Andrew Henderson drives into the Australia 22 but can't get the ball back on Scotland's side. Australia turn it over and Rogers finds touch. Scotland's line-out still in the Australia half, though.

23 min: Australia opt to spin it wide from the restart but a couple of sloppy passes but Mortlock in a little trouble. He does well to tidy it up, though, allowing Rogers to find touch down the left.

22 min: PENALTY - FLATLEY. Flatley slots over a routine penalty.

21 min: Australia gather the line-out and look to drive it over from the maul. The Scots resist the initial burst and force the Wallabies to think again. An offside is coming for the Wallabies so they opt to run it. When there's a knock-on, Glenn Metcalfe is caught offside in front of the posts, and referee White pings him.

20 min: Scotland win line-out ball and get the maul going, but a huge tackle halts the progress of Grimes and Australia turn it over. They work it out to Tuqiri and he makes good yardage in open field. It's recycled well out wide with Sailor on the wing. He bursts and presents it well but Scotland are in quickly to turn it over. The referee has adjudged that they have gone in at the side of the ruck, though, and Rogers finds touch 5m out.

19 min: George Smith releases his bindings way too early and is pinged by the referee. Paterson finds a good touch down the Scotland left.

18 min: Australia scrabble the ball back on their side from the line-out but Brendan Cannon spills it forward as he tries to gather the slap-back. Scrum to Scotland.

17 min: Again, Scotland get the ball against the throw. It's a great display of line-out play thus far. Unfortunately for the Scots, though, the ball is turned over by Australia and Gregan kicks ahead. The bounce deceives Paterson initially, but is eventually flicked into his path and he finds touch down the left.

16 min: Scotland win line-out ball through Stuart Grimes and set it up well. Townsend is hurried into a kick, but still manages to find touch with Sailor just failing to gather it.

16 min: Australia are penalised at the scrum, with Bill Young pulled up. Paterson pumps the penalty to halfway.

15 min: Scotland spin the scrum to upset Australia's ball. Lyons just manages to pick it up in time, though, and Australia find Tuqiri on the burst off his wing. He takes a tackle and spins it wide, but Rogers spills it forward with a spare man on the overlap. Scrum to Scotland.

14 min: Free-kick to Australia as Douglas is adjudged to have gone into the scrum too early. They opt for another scrum.

13 min: Australia switch the kick-off to Tuqiri but although he rises highest, he can only knock it on. Scrum down, Scotland put-in.

12 min: PENALTY - PATERSON. After the ball initially topples over, Paterson keeps his cool to replace it and slot it between the posts.

11 min: Redpath cleans up the line-out ball well but it's turned over. Australia fail to realise the ball has come back on their side, though, and Scotland scrabble it back on their side. The ball's coming slowly and referee Walsh pings Larkham for an offence at the ruck. A kickable penalty for Scotland.

10 min: Scotland steal the ball from the line-out and Townsend hoists a kick downfield. Rogers gets back well and again kicks, finding touch on the Australia 10m line.

10 min: Rogers finds touch down the left, taking play onto the Scotland 10m line.

9 min: Paterson switches the line of attack after Scotland win line-out ball. It comes back on the outside but Bruce Douglas holds on to the ball too long in the tackle and referee Walsh gives Australia the penalty.

8 min: Scotland win the line-out and Gregor Townsend opts to kick ahead. It's well gathered by Rogers, though, and he finds touch down the left. Not such a good kick this one.

7 min: Good, clean line-out ball for Australia and Rogers finds a good touch, this time down the left. Scotland line-out on the Wallabies' 10m line.

6 min: Bryan Redpath catches Tuqiri out of position as he tries to get back. The Sale scrum-half hoists a great kick into touch down the right inside the Australia 22.

5 min: Scotland gather the 22 drop-out and look to their forwards for the hard yards. They work it out wide and again Logan is there. He takes it forward 10m or so but as Scotland recycle it Larkham is able to turn the ball over. Australia work it wide themselves but Lote Tuqiri is superbly tackled and as he tries to flick it back, Scotland win the ball back.

4 min: Stirling Mortlock makes good ground on the restart but as Australia work it wide George Smith spills it forward. Kenny Logan bursts down the left flank for Scotland and chips ahead, but Wendell Sailor is there to touch down in his own in-goal area.

3 min: PENALTY - FLATLEY. Elton Flatley steps up to crack over the penalty and give Australia the early lead.

2 min: Sloppy line-out ball for Australia, but George Gregan cleans it up well. Simon Taylor strays offside in midfield, and it's a kickable penalty to the Wallabies.

1 min: David Lyons goes off the base of the scrum and earns a penalty for Australia as Cameron Mather dives in at the ruck. Mat Rogers finds a good touch down the right.

1 min: Scotland win good line-out ball but referee Steve Walsh awards the put-in at the game's first scrum to Australia.

0 min: Scotland get the game under way but there's an immediate sign of nerves from Stephen Larkham as he shanks a kick into touch down the right.
