79 min: GOAL - PATERSON. Paterson adds the extra points and surely the Scots have rescued their World Cup.

78 min: TRY - SMITH. The Scots' flying wedge drives to the Fiji line and the prop drops with the ball over the line for such a vital try.

78 min: Apensia Naevo is yellow-carded for deliberately killing the ball but Scotland kick for the line-out reather than a shot at goal which is not enough.

77 min: Scots already have an extra bonus point from earlier matches so a draw would be enough to get them through.

76 min: PEN - LITTLE. Douglas concedes a penalty when Logan drops Little's high ball and the prop picks it up from the wrong side.

75 min: Ben Hinshelwood comes on to replace Metcalfe while Rawaqa gets treatment for cramp. Little has no trouble with the penalty in front of the posts.

73 min: Ifereimi Rawaqa makes a break down the left and has Caucau outside him in space but because of the winger's injury, he tries to go it alone and is bustled into touch eight yards short of the Scotland line by Metcalfe.

72 min: The referee calls the skippers together to aks for more discipline with one or two high tackles starting to go in.

70 min: Scots attack again with Townsend making a half-break but the ball is knocked on again by Bruce Douglas in centre field.

68 min: The Scots lose the ball from their own line-out but over-eager Fiji are penalised for going in from the wrong side.

67 min: A spell of kicking from hand ends with Caucau finding touch 15 yards from the Scots line and scrum-half Jacob Raulini comes on to replace his younger brother.

65 min: PEN - LITTLE. Caucau, not running freely at all, kicks from his own half rather than run and though he catches his own kick, Scotland concede a penalty on their 10-yard line. Little restores the lead with a superb kick from left of centre.

63 min: PEN - PATERSON. Another Scots charge ends with Fiji penalised again at the ruck and Paterson slots the kick from 30 yards out on the right and the Scots are ahead for the first time in the match.

62 min: Townsend tries to turn the Fijian defence with a punt to their try-line but Norman Ligairi chases back and then runs it from behind his own line and makes nearly 40 yards.

61 min: Scotland are now exerting some sort of control but lose possession in good position again near the Fiji 22.

59 min: Caucau is receiving more attention and may not last much longer.

58 min: PEN - PATERSON. The Scots are driving forward but Ifereimi Rawaqa concedes another penalty for offside right in front of the posts and Paterson has an easy task to cut the gap to just two points.

57 min: Fiji concede a penalty by coming in from the wrong side and Paterson kicks for touch well inside the Fiji 22.

56 min: Taylor drives on in midfield before Paterson's chip kick is snaffled by Caucau but he is still hobbling and offloads quickly.

54 min: Scots try to find Logan in space down the left but Tuilevu is across to bundle the winger into touch.

53 min: Fiji drive on into the Scots 22 but they put a foot in touch to give Scotland a line-out chance.

51 min: Fiji bring on Sisa Koyamaibole for Vula Maimuri while Caucau is receving treatment.

49 min: Scots switch to the far side and when Metcalfe joins in the line, he again drops the ball when seeing an opening to the line.

48 min: Grimes drives on and feeds Logan but he is stopped in his tracks five yards short.

46 min: Henderson makes a break through the middle but Paterson cannot take the ball at pace and is penalised for a knock-on when in the clear.

44 min: Scotland bring on Jason White for Ross Beattie.

43 min: PEN - PATERSON. Scots attack on the counter through Metcalfe but he is halted and Fiji are penalised for going round on the wrong side. Paterson has a simple task.

41 min: Scotland start the second half with Danielli off permanently and McLaren his replacement.

39 min: Metcalfe counter-attacks down the left but Fiji are across to cover and Gordon Bulloch goes off to the blood bin.

38 min: GOAL - LITTLE. Little adds the two points with a kick from near the posts.

37 min: TRY - CAUCAUNIBUCA. An amazing burst of pace from the winger, he swerves outside Taylor and dances past Metcalfe before sauntering over the line after a sensational 50-yard run.

36 min: Scots charge on and Townsend's inside pass releases Metcalfe who switches outside to McLaren who drops the ball five yards short of the line.

35 min: Scotland are so close to their first try with a great break by Paterson. Metcalfe is blocked close to the line and when the ball falls loose, Henderson cannot pick it up just three yards short.

34 min: Greg Smith has to go off and is replaced by Naka Seru while Danielli is off to the blood bin with James McLaren on.

33 min: Little takes a quick tap and kicks across field for Caucau but Danielli is among three Scots players covering the danger.

31 min: A doctor is called on for Greg Smith who seems to have a neck injury but fully recovers.

30 min: PEN - PATERSON. Fiji are penalised again under their own posts for piling over the top at the breakdown and Paterson has a simple task.

29 min: Paterson gains great position with a clever kick off his left foot and the ball is back at the Fiji 22 once again.

28 min: PEN - PATERSON. Fiji are offside in front of their own posts and Paterson cuts the deficit.

27 min: Scots put pressure on Moses Rauluni at the scrum and his sliced kick gives them more line-out possession inside the Fiji 22.

25 min: A great kick from Paterson pushes Fiji back into their own 22 for the first time since the opening minutes but the line-out ball is then lost.

24 min: Koli Sewabu thinks he has scored another Fiji try as he gathers another loose ball after the Scots spill it in their lown 22 again under pressure but the referee adjudges the ball has gone forward.

22 min: Fiji are close to another try as Little tries the kick again and Caucau speeds past Paterson to the bouncing ball over the Scots line but fails to touch it down and the Scots survive.

21 min: A huge punt by Little is fumbled by Paterson under pressure from Seru Rabeni and though the ball bounces dangerously towards the Scots line, Simon Danielli tidies up with a clearing kick.

19 min: Fiji attack with more snappy handling in the backs until Epeli Ruivadra knocks on and Scotland have the breather of their own scrum.

18 min: Townsend is crunched in midfield and the ball breaks loose to Aisea Tuilevu who sprints 50 yards and is tackled by Metcalfe a few feet before the line and though he scrambles over, the try is ruled out but the Scots are really rattled.

16 min: Caucau is close to a second try with a quick kick and chase beyond the Scots back line and Logan comes across to his wrong wing to clear the danger.

14 min: GOAL - LITTLE. Little adds the extra points from wide on the left.

13 min: TRY - CAUCAUNIBUCA. A neat interplay in midfield between Little and his centres releases Rupeni Caucaunibuca who speeds past Stuart Grimes and dives over in the corner.

12 min: Scotland are penalised for pulling a man down at the line-out and Fiji are up to the 22.

10 min: Scots drive down the left through Redpath but then 30 yards from the Fiji line, they turn the ball over.

9 min: Andrew Henderson boots a loose ball 40 yards downfield and chases and picks up inside Fiji territory but after gaining good position, the centre is penalised for not releasing.

7 min: Little again probes to the left side with a deep kick and though Cameron Mather sweeps the ball up, he is penalised for not releasing but Little pulls his penalty attempt wide from a good position.

5 min: Fiji have a player on the wrong side as Simon Taylor drives on and are penalised but Paterson clips the outside of the upright with the penalty attempt from out on the right.

4 min: A cross kick by Nicky Little almost finds Aisea Tuilevu out on the left but Glenn Metcalfe is across to cover.

2 min: Chris Paterson hoists a Garryowen but the ball is too deep and bounces out.
