RESULT: SOUTH AFRICA 46 GEORGIA 19

80 min: Hougaard fails to convert with the last kick of the game. South Africa have won, but they have been far from impressive. Georgia emerge from the game with much credit.

80 min: TRY - BURGER. Burger picks up and goes off the back of the scrum and crashes over for a try on his international debut.

80 min: South Africa spin the scrum to earn the put-in.

79 min: Fourie appeals for a try in the corner as he touches down after great work from Rossouw. There's been a knock-on though so it's a scrum to Georgia five metres out.

78 min: Georgia's defence continues to be superb. This time they are on hand to propel replacement Jorrie Muller out of play as he looked to burst down the flank.

77 min: Burger bounces out of two tackles to take South Africa to the verge of the Georgia 22 and the defence transgress. Penalty to the Springboks.

76 min: Khamashuridze catches a kick over the top and looks to return it with interest. He's well tackled by Greeff before lobbing it infield. Paulse picks up but he's put a foot in touch.

75 min: Georgia make two changes up front. Dudunashvili and Aleko Margvelashvili are given a huge ovation from the crowd as they leave the field.

75 min: South Africa stray offside at the ruck. Penalty to Georgia which is pounded into touch by Bessik Khamashuridze.

74 min: South Africa go for the catch and drive. The go off the blind side to within five metres before spinning it through the backs. It's knocked on in the fly-half slot, though, and Georgia can break.

73 min: Hougaard finds touch down the right.

72 min: Georgia win the ball from the scrum but Kvirikashvili spills it forward. South Africa move it quickly and there's a high tackle on Terblanche. Kvirikashvili, presumably frustrated from his knock-on, is the man penalised and he's sent straight to the sin bin. Perhaps now South Africa will start to cut loose.

71 min: South Africa win the line-out but they are moving far too laterally and eventually Terblanche spills it forward in contact.

70 min: Georgia opt for a quick line-out but fail to get it in straight. Scrum down, South Africa put-in. They win it well and Hougaard hacks downfield and out of play.

69 min: Rossouw finally manages to gain some control from a restart, catching it well inside his own 22. Greeff hoists up a kick, but it sails out for a line-out only five or so metres outside the Georgia 22.

68 min: Hougaard just pulls his conversion attempt round too much.

67 min: TRY - BOTHA South Africa move the ball to inside the Georgian 22 with some powerful forward play. It's spun out wide to Botha and there's no stopping him as he straightens up to crash over. That's much better in terms of both ball retention and invention from South Africa.

66 min: South Africa work the blind side, but it's knocked on by Loubscher.

65 min: South Africa get the shove on from the scrum on yet again but as they move it through the backs Kavtarachvili attempts an interception. He just knocks on, though, so it's South Africa's put-in at the scrum.

64 min: Line-out to South Africa five metres out as Kvirikashvili has to scamper out of play. Smith finds his man at the back, but the ball isn't in straight.

64 min: Schalk Burger is on for van Niekerk in the Sprinbok pack. This is his debut for the South Africans.

63 min: PENALTY - KVIRIKASHVILI. Kvirikashvili slots over the penalty as South Africa start to make a few changes.

62 min: Georgia's attack falters just outside the South Africa 22, but de Kock is pulled up for being offside. Merab Kvirikashvili, who is on for Jimsheladze, opts to go for the posts.

61 min: Jimsheladze finds his touch but the line-out doesn't go to plan and South Africa clear their lines. Georgia win the subsequent line-out, though, and work teh ball through several phases in midfield.

60 min: Yet again South Africa let the restart bounce, and it's subsequently knocked on as Faan Rautenbach fails to gather it on the bounce. In fact, there's been an offside, so it's a penalty to Georgia.

60 min: CONVERSION - HOUGAARD. Hougaard slots over the extras from wide out on the right-hand touchline.

59 min: TRY - FOURIE. After a lengthy delay, the TV official confirms that Fourie has scored in the corner.

58 min: South Africa go for a short line-out and work a set move. Hougaard sends in a grubber kick which Fourie latches onto. He's over the line, but the referee wants to send it to the TV official.

57 min: Hougaard lashes the ball into touch.

56 min: Paulse bursts to within 10m of the tryline but overplays and Georgia are able to turn it over. Jimsheladze fails to find touch, though, and Terblanche bursts onto a pass out wide from Greeff to take it into the 22. Paulse knocks on, but the referee calls it back for a penalty to South Africa for a high tackle.

55 min: Avtandil Kopaliana spills the restart forward and South Africa win the scrum. They work it out wide through fast hands but Terblanche is driven over the touchline for a line-out to Georgia.

55 min: CONVERSION - JIMSHELADZE. Jimsheladze slots over the conversion. The crowd are well and truly behind the Georgians now.

54 min: TRY - DUDUNASHVILI. Jimsheladze finds touch on the South Africa five metre line. Dudunashvili keeps his composure to finally find his man in the line-out. He gets his reward as the set move ends with him bursting around the back of the maul to score unchallenged.

53 min: Paulse comes in off his wing in search of the ball but has a pass intercepted and Georgia press forward. They have an overlap in the shape of Victor Didebulidze but he's held up. The Georgia attack falters but Scholtz has killed the ball and he's in the sin bin.

52 min: South Africa look to work it through their backs again after winning easy scrum ball, but Greeff knocks forward. The Springboks are desperately short of invention in the backs.

51 min: Chkhaidze has to pick up and go from the back of the scrum as South Africa put the squeeze on. He knocks on in the tackle, though, so it's South Africa's scrum 20 metres out.

50 min: Van Niekerk nicks the ball in the line-out, but it's already been knocked forward by a South African hand at the front of the line. Scrum down Georgia in their own territory.

49 min: Rock solid scrummaging from South Africa lays the base for a move through the backs. Loubscher just flicks it forward in the contact, though, so it's Georgia's scrum. They just manage to get it out quickly enough for Jimsheladze to kick downfield, but his effort is returned with interest by Terblanche, who finds touch down the right.

49 min: South Africa get the shove on from the scrum and Georgia knock on as they struggle to get a hold of things.

48 min: Botha gest a hand to the line-out but can't keep it in play. The second line-out is also to South African hands, but it is spilt forward.

47 min: Georgia get scrappy ball from the line-out but tidy it up well. Just as they do that, they cough it up at the ruck and Hougaard is on the ball. He kicks ahead but the ball trickles out for a line-out to Georgia.

46 min: South Africa win the line-out ball and get the rolling maul going. There's an obstruction on the secondary drive, though, and Jimsheladze finds touch down the right.

45 min: The gathering of the restarts has been poor from both sides tonight. This time Georgia fail to reclaim it and then stray offside. Hougaard lashes the ball into touch down the left. It'll be their throw at the line-out six metres from the tryline.

44 min: PENALTY - JIMSHELADZE. Jimsheladze punishes the Springboks by slotting over the penalty.

43 min: South Africa knock the ball on from the restart and as a ruck forms after the subsequent scrum, Scholtz is penalised for a stray hand.

42 min: Hougaard just fails to add the extras from out wide on the left.

41 min: TRY - ROSSOUW. Van Niekerk goes left before cutting back all the way around the scrum and laying the platform for his supporting forwards. The ball is spun back out to the left and Rossouw is again in the line. He straightens out and just manages to reach over the tryline to score.

41 min: Hougaard gets the game under way again and there's an immediate knock-on from the Georgians as they try to gather.

HT: South Africa 24 Georgia 6.

40 min: Van Niekerk goes on the blind side from the scrum, opening the field up. Hougaard chips through and Archil Kavtarachvili has to push it out into touch in goal. That's the last act of a half that South Africa will be far from happy with, despite their lead.

40 min: South Africa spin the scrum to get the put-in five metres from the Georgia line.

39 min: Scrappy ball, this time for Georgia and Fourie goes over after blocking a Jimsheladze pass. He's knocked on, though, so it's Georgia's scrum.

38 min: Jimsheladze's kick downfield is well gathered by van Niekerk and South Africa spin forward. Rossouw and Paulse combine down the left and create a platform but the ball comes back scrappily, bouncing out of play.

38 min: Van Niekerk makes good ground from the scrum before Hougaard kicks ahead. His kick bounces into the in-goal area and Machkhaneli has to touch it down.

37 min: Georgia go for a long one at the line-out, but it's far from straight and the referee pings them. Scrum down, South Africa put-in.

36 min: Smit is warned to tell his players to roll away from the tackle as they transgress at a second successive ruck. Jimsheladze takes play into the South Africa half by finding touch down the left.

35 min: South Africa pick and go off the base of the scrum with Rossouw hitting the line at pace. They come on the blind side and Greeff takes it forward to around six metres out. The South Africans dive off their feet at the ruck, though, so Jimsheladze clears his lines.

34 min: Irakli Modebadze tries to make a huge 'bomb' just inside his own 22 but can only spill it forward. Scrum down, South Africa put-in.

33 min: Hougaard finds his touch down the right and South Africa win line-out ball. The passing in the half-backs is simply atrocious, though, and Greeff knocks on as he tries to salvage the situation.

32 min: Penalty to South Africa as Georgia transgress at the scrum.

31 min: South Africa get the shove on to make Georgia's ball scrappy. They do win it, though, but Jimsheladze spills a pass forward and it'll be South Africa's put-in at the scrum.

30 min: Poor passing in the Georgian backline and Terblanche is able to get a hand in to win the ball back for the Springboks. Terblanche subsequently spills a pass in midfield, though, so it's Georgia's put-in at the scrum.

29 min: David Dudunashvili gathers the restart and powers forward, laying the base for the Georgians. Jimsheladze powers a kick downfield which is returned with interest. The Georgians take a quick line-out, though, and draw a penalty from the Springboks.

28 min: PENALTY - JIMSHELADZE. The penalty is in front of the sticks, so presents few problems for Jimsheladze.

27 min: Penalty to Georgia just outside the South Africa 22 with de Kock straying offside.

26 min: Van Niekerk climbs highest to win the line-out for South Africa and they get their own rolling maul going. It takes them into the Georgian half before they spin it through the backs. Greeff knocks forward, though, so it'll be Georgia's put-in.

25 min: Tsiklauri takes the line-out ball and the rolling maul comes from the Georgian pack. It finally goes down at the five metre line, but the pick up and go again, this time on the blind side. A second pick-up-and-drive comes, but there've got an illegal blocker in there and Hougaard can clear his lines.

24 min: South Africa look to run it straight back from the restart but Stefan Terblanche is penalised for holding on in the tackle. Jimsheladze finds touch down the right. Georgia's line-out inside the South Africa 22.

23 min: CONVERSION - HOUGAARD. A marvellous effort from Hougaard as he slots over the conversion from out on the left-hand touchline.

22 min: TRY - VAN NIEKERK. Good clean line-out ball for South Africa with Johann van Niekerk taking it. Their forwards take it to within five metres of the line before they work the overlap. Rossouw is in the outside centre position and propels it out to van Niekerk on the wing. There's simply no stopping the No 8 from two metres out.

21 min: Georgia win their own line-out ball with Sergo Gujaraidze claiming it. They work it to Jimsheladze and he finds touch with a hurried kick down the right.

20 min: Jimsheladze's restart is too long, allowing Boome to claim it on his own 22. South Africa get the rolling maul going before de Kock looks to his backs. Hougaard is in the fly-half slot and powers a kick into the Georgia 22.

19 min: CONVERSION - HOUGAARD. Routine conversion from the South Africa fly-half.

18 min: TRY - HOUGAARD. South Africa work a clever move from the line-out and work it into the midfield. Georgia are overcommitted in defence and Hougaard spots the gap, nipping in to score under the posts.

17 min: Botha powers forward into the Georgia 22 and Georgia are penalised as they come in from the side of the ruck. Hougaard finds touch five metres from the Georgia line.

17 min: Georgia are alert to the ball slipping out of the back of a South Africa ruck and turn it over, but they can't retain the ball and it's quickly back in Springbok hands.

16 min: South Africa work a nice move off a line-out with Bakkies Botha bullocking through the Georgian defensive line. The ball is worked out to the right where Boome is the wide man. He is taken down, but recycles well and the attack continues.

15 min: CONVERSION - HOUGAARD. Hougaard adds the extras.

14 min: TRY - ROSSOUW. Jimsheladze goes from hero to zero within seconds. After kicking that penalty he knocks the restart on. South Africa's forwards are there quickly, the ball is popped up by Neil de Kock and Danie Rossouw straightens up to power over.

13 min: PENALTY - JIMSHELADZE. Jimsheladze stalks up to the ball and sends it between the posts. That's just reward for the Georgians' efforts in the early stages.

11 min: Georgia are having the better of things in open play despite the scoreline. As they recycle the ball through five or six phases, Lawrence Sephaka loses discipline and strays offside on his own 10m line. Jimsheladze is going for the posts.

10 min: Georgia go for the short line-out, but fail to get it in straight. Good clean ball for South Africa from the scrum and Hougaard hacks downfield. He's failed to find touch again, though, and Machkhaneli brings it over halfway, earning Georgia the put-in.

9 min: Selborne Boome nicks the ball off the line-out for South Africa and Hoougard pumps it downfield. He fails to find touch, though, and Machkhaneli returns it with interest, latching onto his own kick inside the South Africa 22. The Georgians recycle it through five or six phases before Jimsheladze hoists the 'bomb'. It just skips out for a line-out to Georgia, though, as there was a Springbok hand in there.

8 min: Penalty to Georgia as Hendro Scholtz holds on in the tackle in midfield. That was a ferocious hit from George Tsiklauri.

7 min: Clean line-out ball for South Africa and they work it through the backs.

6 min: Fast hands from South Africa out to Ricardo Loubscher, who is up in the line. Georgia turn it over in the tackle, though, and Pavle Jimsheladze finds his touch down the right.

5 min: Machkhaneli knocks on as he tries to gather a 'bomb' on halfway. South Africa's put-in at the scrum just inside the Georgia half.

4 min: PENALTY - HOUGAARD. Hougaard opens the scoring with a cool penalty.

3 min: South Africa get good line-out ball at the back of the line and work it wide with an advantage coming. Jaque Fourie is held up and the referee takes it back for the penalty. Hougaard goes for the posts to settle his team's nerves.

2 min: Irakli Machkhaneli bursts into the line for Georgia from the scrum and makes ground into the South Africa 22. He's finally brought down, but has no support and clings on too long in the tackle. Hougaard finds a good touch down the left.

2 min: John Smit knocks on on the loop to hand Georgia the put-in at the scrum.

1 min: Hougaard draws the first mistake of the game from George Chkhaidze, who knocks on a kick downfield around halfway.

0 min: Georgia get the game under way with Australian Stuart Dickinson the man in charge.

Pre-match: All eyes will be on fly-half Derick Hougaard after Louis Koen's disappointing performance against England. Winger Breyton Paulse and centre Werner Greeff will also be looking to impress against a Georgian side that will be without several of their big names, with Claude Saurel looking to the clash with Uruguay.
