RESULT: WALES 27 TONGA 20

80 min: The Tongan attack falters inside the Wales 22 and Wyatt is able to hack it out of play to end the match. So brave from Tonga, but it's Wales who have triumphed.

80 min: Stephen Jones gifts possession back to Tonga with a kick over the top and they run from deep. The Welsh get a foot in to hack the ball clear and the penalty goes to Tonga. They run it quickly from halfway and look to come again.

80 min: Wales win the line-out ball and get the drive on with the clock running down.

79 min: Hola finds a good touch after Tonga work the ball to him from the restart.

79 min: Hola's conversion sails wide.

78 min: TRY - LAVAKA. Tonga work the short side but Mark Jones gets in a huge hit. It's not enough to keep Tonga at bay, though, as Lavaka goes over in the corner.

77 min: Tonga again go for the scrum.

76 min: Penalty to Tonga as Wales transgress in the scrum.

75 min: Kivalu picks up and goes from the base of the scrum. Vaki is again the man in support and he does enough to convince the referee that Tonga should get the put-in at the scrum.

75 min: Tonga opt for the scrum.

74 min: Wales claim good line-out ball and Stephen Jones kicks ahead. Va'enuku gathers and brings it forward before Vaki bursts up in support. Tonga take the ball well into Wales territory and recycle it through a couple of phases before working the short side. Wales have strayed offside, so it's a penalty to Tonga in front of the sticks.

73 min: Good line-out ball for Tonga and their forwards look to get the drive on. It's too slow coming back, though, and Tonga Lea'aetoa is penalised for going way over the top. After consulting with his touchjudge, the referee gives him a talking-to and Stephen Jones finds touch.

73 min: Obstruction from Wales as they look to make some yards on halfway. Hola punts the ball out of play down the right just outside the Wales 22.

72 min: Wales bring Hugh Bennett on for Davies in the front row.

71 min: Wales manage to upset Tonga's ball but Peel can't gather and the ball is maintained by the Polynesians. There's an accidental offside on the go-forward, though, so it's Wales' put-in at the scrum.

70 min: Davies fails to get the ball in straight at the line-out so it's Tonga's put in at a scrum.

69 min: Harris thunders another kick downfield, but Va'enuku is there. He slices his kick horribly, though, so it's Wales' throw at the line-out just outside the Tonga 22.

68 min: Wales get the put-in as Tonga spill the restart forwards yet again, this time in an attacking phase.

67 min: CONVERSION - STEPHEN JONES. Stephen Jones has kept the kicking duties, and he makes no mistake with this conversion.

66 min: TRY - MARTYN WILLIAMS. Ipolito Fenukitau spills the restart backwards and Wales are quickly there to lay the base. They spin it out to the right before Tonga get numbers back. When the ball comes, it's spun out to the left and Williams is the man there to crash over.

65 min: Hola fails to add the extras.

64 min: TRY - KIVALU. Wales let the restart bounce - a schoolboy error - and Tonga are quickly up to gather it. Their forwards get the drive on and get to within 5m of the Wales line. The secondary drive comes and Kivalu is the man to touch down. A great display of forward play.

63 min: Wales bring Adam Jones on for Iestyn Thomas.

62 min: DROP GOAL - MARTYN WILLIAMS. Wales spin the ball into midfield from the line-out and get their forwards going. With the advantage coming, Martyn Williams opts for a shot and goal and lands the three points.

61 min: Wales have the ball turned over after initially winning it from the scrum. But the Tongans are tiring now and they fail to recycle it on their side. Mark Jones bursts forward and sends in a grubber kick which Va'enuku has to take over the touchline.

61 min: Tonga go for the tap penalty and drive but Heamani Lavaka knocks on just inside the Wales 22.

60 min: Wyatt steals the line-out ball, but he's done so illegally. In the meantime, Wales have brought Martyn Williams on for Popham.

60 min: Wales manage to disrupt Tonga's line-out ball and Martens has to hurry a kick over the top. Williams is there to kick for touch and finds it.

59 min: Tonga manage to spin the scrum and it's their put-in - and when Iestyn Thomas goes in at an angle, Hola clears his lines with a good kick to touch down the right.

59 min: After numerous replays, the TV official decides Williams has been held up. Scrum down, Wales put-in.

58 min: Wyatt has an immediate impact by winning the line-out. Wales spin it out wide through their backs and Williams goes over with two men around him. Referee Honiss is unsighted so goes to the screen.

58 min: Wales bring Chris Wyatt on for Llewellyn.

57 min: Jones hoists a lovely kick over the top to pin Tonga back into their own 22.

56 min: The restart if well gathered by Afeaki but as Tonga form the ruck, there's a knock-on and Wales get the put-in at the scrum.

55 min: After a couple of substitutions Wales transgress at the ruck, but Hola fails to slot over the penalty.

54 min: Tonga scrum-half Martens is replaced by David Palu.

53 min: Wales make their first substitution with Dwayne Peel coming on for tryscorer Cooper.

52 min: Tonga bring the ball forward in return but Wales turn it over. Llewellyn bursts down the left but a pass out wide is intercepted. Va'enuku powers forward and kicks ahead, but it just bounces out of touch.

51 min: Stephen Jones' penalty falls short. That's three from three he's missed with Harris also in the side, the kicking duties could well be taken off the fly-half.

50 min: Tonga win the ball from the subsequent line-out but there's crossing as they look to spin it through their backs. Penalty to Wales and Stephen Jones will go for goal.

49 min: The penalties are coming more and more for Wales now. This time, they kick for touch and press Tonga back into their own 22 with a fearsome drive. There's an obstruction in the maul, though, and Tonga can clear their lines.

48 min: Stephen Jones misses his second successive penalty.

47 min: Tonga are penalised for standing up in the scrum. Penalty to Wales.

46 min: Shanklin bursts through two tackles to return a Martens kick to the Tongan half. The Wales forwards are there when he is finally tackled abnd Wales can recycle tyhe ball. Davies bursts forward to within 15m of the Tonga line before a fine tackle from Va'enuku brings him down. Cooper tries to spin it inside to Charvis, but passes forward.

45 min: Stephen Jones' kick has the distance, but just drifts wide of the posts.

44 min: After consulting with his touchjudge, the referee reverses the penalty decision with Afeaki penalised for throwing the ball into Daffyd Jones' face in backplay.

43 min: Tonga win their own line-out ball and Vaki drives it forward. Wales turn it over though as there's little support from the Tongan forwards. Harris opts to kick ahead and Va'enuku returns the kick, failing to find touch. Mark Jones does likewise, though, and as Wales chase the ball down there's a Welsh player offside.

42 min: Taylor hoists a kick downfield towards Va'enuku, who gathers well. He slices his kick, though, and Mark Jones is able to bring it forward. Wales dive off their feet at the ruck though - with Daffyd Jones penalised - and it's Tonga's penalty.

42 min: PENALTY - STEPHEN JONES. Jones slots over the penalty to give Wales the ideal start to the second half.

41 min: Tonga are immediately caught offside from the restart, with Mark Jones causing problems. Penalty to Wales and Stephen Jones will go for the posts.

41 min: Stephen Jones gets the game under way again with Wales looking for improvements in this half, particularly in the back row.

HT: Wales 14 Tonga 10.

40 min: Hola launches an optimistic attempt at a drop goal on his least favoured foot and unsurprisingly it sails wide. Williams kicks straight into touch on the return, and the referee blows the half-time whistle.

39 min: Wales fail to take advantage as the free-kick goes to Tonga with Jenkins penalised at the scrum.

38 min: Stephen Jones gets good distance on his kick and Sione Fonua knocks on in the contact on the Tonga 10m line.

37 min: Stephen Jones again fails to find his touch down the right. The return kick is down the throat of Harris, who marks it. He fails to find touch though and Tui'fua returns it. Williams has to touch down over his own tryline so Wales will drop out from the 22.

36 min: PENALTY - STEPHEN JONES. Jones slots over an easy penalty to increase Wales' lead.

35 min: Scrappy ball from the Tonga scrum and they have to hoist a kick over the top. Mark Jones does likewise in response, but only finds Va'enuku. He opts to run it and is quickly wrapped up and Wales turn it over. Shanklin bursts forward down the right before Wales switch it across. They have four on two out wide but squander the opportunity. Tonga have been pulled up for offside in front of the posts, though.

34 min: Viliami Vaki is penalised for a swinging arm in the tackle just outside the Wales 22. Stephen Jones powers the kick downfield to the halfway line but Mefin Davies can't get it in straight at the line-out.

33 min: Hola fails to make it three out of three from the tee.

32 min: Martens bursts off the side of the scrum and Daffyd Jones dives off his feet at the ruck to give the penalty to Tonga.

31 min: Wales take a quick line-out after Hola kicks downfield, but Williams' kick skips over the deadball line and Tonga get the put-in at the scrum on halfway.

30 min: CONVERSION - HOLA. A routine conversion for Hola from in front of the sticks.

29 min: TRY - HOLA. Tonga win their own line-out ball and Hola chips a kick through. Williams fails to gather it at the first attempt and Hola is there first to pick up and crash over.

29 min: Wales win the ball from their line-out but Stephen Jones is hurried into kicking downfield.

28 min: Tonga hold firm at the scrum but then spill the ball forward. Wales turn it over in any case and have men out wide on the left. The men in red fail to make their men count and Tonga are able to turn it over themselves. Hufanga bursts through a gap but is just beaten by the bounce of the ball a metre out.

27 min: Wales knock on from the restart and Tonga get put-in at the scrum.

26 min: Jones attempts to slide the ball in with the outside of his right foot, but just can't get enough curve on it.

25 min: TRY - COOPER. Wales hold firm at the scrum having seen Tonga spin the last one. Cooper picks up and bursts from the back of the scrum down a gaping blindside. Tonga's left wing is nowhere and Cooper crosses unchallenged.

25 min: Scrappy ball from the scrum but Martens has knocked on. Another put-in for Wales.

24 min: Gareth Llewellyn plucks the ball off the top at the line-out and Wales' forwards get the ball going out wide. They have numbers outside but Harris' pass finds Va'enuku's despairing hand. He can only knock-on so it's Wales' put-in at the scrum.

23 min: Wales get the shove on from the scrum, preventing Tonga from clearing their lines at the first attempt. It's eventually flicked back to Va'enuka and he manages to find touch down the right. Wales are looking dominant at the scrums with Tonga's front five struggling.

22 min: Popham picks up and goes from the base of the scrum. It's spun out through two pairs of hands before coming back inside. Stephen Jones knocks it forward, though, so it's Tonga's put-in. The first attempt at a scrum goes down.

21 min: Wales get the drive on and are given a penalty with Tonga's front row standing up at the scrum. Colin Charvis calls for the scrum again.

20 min: Scruffy ball from the scrum for Wales but Cooper makes the best of it. It's spun out wide through the backs with Mark Jones at the end of the line. He bursts for the line but is brought down by a superb tackle. He spills it backwards and Tonga can only knock it forward, presenting Wales with the put-in 5m out.

19 min: Tonga transgress at the scrum and Stephen Jones punts downfield. He fails to find touch but gets away with it as Tui'fua knocks forward trying to gather it.

18 min: Tonga work the ball well around the fringes of the scrum and Sukanaivalu Hufanga just fails to flick a pass out to Tui'fua on the wing. The ball was aimed behind the wideman with the tryline gaping and although he got a hand to it, he could only knock it forward.

17 min: Hola finds his touch down the left and Tonga win the line-out. Popham tries to get a hand in to disrupt the quality of Tonga's ball, but he only manages to knock it forward.

16 min: Daffyd Jones claims the ball at the back of the line-out and Wales look to get the drive on. They make it as far as the Tongan 22, but Mark Jones fails to release the ball in the tackle and referee Paul Honiss awards Tonga the penalty.

15 min: Afeaki is penalised at the line-out, allowing Stephen Jones to punt the ball downfield into touch down the left.

14 min: Rhys Williams is able to mark a long kick downfield and finds a good touch down the left with his subsequent kick.

13 min: PENALTY - STEPHEN JONES. A routine three points for Jones.

12 min: Wales continue to recycle the ball quickly and cleanly before Benhur Kivalu is penalised for an offence at the ruck right in front of the posts.

11 min: Alix Popham goes to grond to smother the restart as Tonga fail to gather it clearly. Wales recycle the ball well through four of five phases before Gareth Cooper and Gethin Jenkins make bursts forward. That takes Wales to within 10m of the tryline.

10 min: PENALTY - HOLA. Hola, who is playing at fly-half instead of full-back, slots over the penalty to level the scores.

9 min: The time is off as Tevita Tui'fua receives treatment for what appears to be a leg injury. He's up and running again, though, so play continues. Martens makes a break from the back of the scrum well into the Wales half. Va'enuku makes a great line in support and takes the ball before Wales are penalised just outside their own 22m line.

8 min: Stephen Jones fails to find touch, allowing Tonga to come again. Robert Sidoli tries to intercept a spun pass wide but knocks forward. Scrum down, Tonga put-in.

7 min: Good, clean ball for Wales at the line-out and Tonga have been penalised for offside, allowing Stephen Jones to clear his lines and ease the pressure on Wales.

6 min: Martens hoists a fine kick over Wales' defensive line, pegging the men in red back to their own 5m line.

5 min: Va'enuku, who is in the Tonga side as a late replacement, gathers a Stephen Jones kick downfield and does well to return it with interest. Wales claim the line-out ball easily.

4 min: PENALTY - STEPHEN JONES. Jones slots over the penalty to give Wales an early lead.

3 min: Inoke Afeaki takes the line-out ball at the back of the line and Sililo Martens kicks ahead. It's well taken by Tom Shanklin who powers forward to the halfway line. Wales spin it out through the backs and recycle it through midfield. Tonga force the interception, but there's been a stray hand in the ruck so it's Wales' penalty on the Tonga 10m line.

2 min: Tonga transgress at the scrum and it's a free-kick to Wales. It's flicked to Stephen Jones and he finds a good touch down the right, pinning the Tongans back to the edge of their own 22.

1 min: Wales get good clean line-out ball but spill it forward as they get the maul going. It's Tonga's put-in at the scrum on the Wales 10m line.

0 min: Tonga get the game under way. The first penalty goes the way of Wales as Tonga dive in at the ruck after the restart was spilled by Wales' forwards.

Pre-match: Having intially made eight changes to their side, Wales have had to recall Iestyn Harris to their starting line-up as Sonny Parker has picked up an injury. Tonga also make a late change with Sila Va'enuku in at full-back and Pierre Hola switching to fly-half.
