The most-capped man in the Georgia squad, Jimsheladze - known as 'Paliko' - will be charged with the task of leading his younger team-mates through the World Cup.
Having made his debut against Bulgaria in March 1995, the fly-half has gone on to win 38 caps, scoring over 200 points in the process.
Likely to play second fiddle to Makho Urjukashvili in the kicking stakes having landed only 18 of his 33 attempts in Tests in the whole of last year.
