One of Munster's most consistent players over the last two seasons, Kelly has been in and out of the Ireland senior side since making his debut last year.
Having played for Irish Universities, he was drafted into the Ireland A side in 2000 and progressed to the national XV two years later, facing Italy in the Six Nations before going on the summer tour of New Zealand.
Once Shane Horgan returned from injury, Kelly was consigned to the replacements' bench although he started the Six Nations clash with Italy earlier this summer - grabbing his fourth international try - and the subsequent Tests against Australia and Tonga.
