A fearsome prop, Thomas gained his first cap in the 50-6 victory over Samoa in 2001 having made his first inroads towards the Welsh side on the successful development tour to Canada.
A strong scrummager and mobile in the loose, Thomas is part of a strong Welsh front-row who look more than capable of holding their own.
His club career has taken him from Pontypool to Ebbw Vale before settling at Llanelli, while he has represented his country at all levels from the Under-18s upwards.
