TOM SHANKLIN

Shanklin burst onto the international scene with a two-try debut against Japan in 2001 having shone at all levels for Wales from Under-19 upwards.

The son of Jim Shanklin, who won four caps for his country in the late 1960s, Tom has the sort of all-round game needed to be an international centre.

Strong in defence and always a threat in attack, Shanklin plies his trade with Cardiff Blues having spent time in England - the country of his birth - playing for London Welsh and Saracens.
