WORLD CUP WALES
Picture Harris - former league star.

IESTYN HARRIS

Born: 25.06.76
Height: 5ft 10in
Weight: 13st 10lb
Position: Fly-half/Centre
Club: Cardiff Blues
Caps: 17
Points: 78

Harris made a highly-publicised switch from rugby league in a move worth £1.5 million two years ago.

A former Man of Steel, Harris left Leeds to join Cardiff where he made an immediate impact and was selected for his country, whom he had represented in the 2000 Rugby League World Cup, after just one full match.

Harris would be the first to admit it has not all been plain sailing, despite winning 17 Wales caps, as he has had to learn the 15-man code from scratch.

But he is beginning to look at ease in union and may get somewhere near matching the ludicrous degree of expectancy placed on his shoulders from success-starved Welsh fans.
