SCOTT MURRAY

Born: 15.01.76
Height: 6ft 6in
Weight: 16st 8lb
Position: Lock
Club: Edinburgh
Caps: 51
Points: 10

Murray was Scotland's outstanding player in the 2002 Six Nations Championship and has not looked back.

He deservedly picked up the Famous Grouse Scotland player of the season award and was named man of the match in their victory over Wales.

This season Murray was magnificent in the line-out as Scotland beat South Africa and he again proved himself to be a world-class forward.

Murray was one of the three Scots originally selected for the 2001 British & Irish Lions tour of Australia and as he continues to impress, similar honours are sure to follow in the future.

Having made his debut in 1997 against the Aussies, Murray has become one of the most respected locks in the world game, particularly in the line-out.
