WORLD CUP SCOTLAND
Picture Leslie - loves physical nature of pack play.

MARTIN LESLIE

Born: 25.10.71
Height: 6ft 3in
Weight: 16st 7lb
Position: Flanker
Club: Edinburgh
Caps: 35
Points: 50

An impressive scoring record - he bagged 10 tries in his 35 Tests - underlines Leslie's importance to Scotland.

He made his international debut almost five years ago and has been an integral part of Ian McGeechan's plans since, injuries permitting.

The former New Zealand Under-21 comes from good rugby stock with his father Andy having captained the All Blacks 10 times and his brother John a Scotland international.

A neck injury sidelined Leslie earlier this year, but he goes into the World Cup free from injury.

Leslie loves the physical nature of pack play and will not shy away from a tackle, while his 10 tries show his threat in attack.
