The third of Scotland's specialist hookers, Hall is likely to get limited chance to show his ability in the World Cup.
But the chance to spend an extended spell with the likes of Gordon Bulloch and Robbie Russell can only be good for the 23-year-old front-rower.
Hall's solitary Scotland senior cap came as a replacement in the recent Test against Wales but he has previously represented his country at Under-19 and Under-21 levels
