Unlikely to get much action Down Under, with Mike Blair now widely seen as the understudy to Bryan Redpath, yet Beveridge is a capable man to have in your squad.
He made his debut as a replacement in New Zealand in 2000 but had to wait until the recent clash with Wales for his first start.
He was due to make the summer tour to North America but injury forced him to pull out and allowed Blair to step into the spotlight.
A former Scotland Under-19 and Under-21 captain, Beveridge edged out Glasgow team-mate Andy Nicol.
