Born: 02.07.75
Height: 6ft 1in
Weight: 14st 9lb
Position: Wing
Club: Sharks
Caps: 36
Points: 95

The scorer of 19 Test tries in just 36 outings, Terblanche holds the record for the most tries in a Test match for the Springboks, scoring five against Italy in 2000.

He made his Test debut in June 1998 against Ireland, scoring four tries for a memorable start to his international career, but fell out of favour after the 1999 World Cup.

However he came back to feature on the Springboks tour of Argentina and the UK in 2000, playing at full-back against England at Twickenham.

He missed out again in 2001, but some fine form in the Super 12 competition with the Sharks meant he was back in a South African jersey in 2002.

Yet he has struggled in this season's Super 12, and his selection was a surprise to some.

A PE teacher by trade, one of his pupils at the Wellington school he taught at was Springbok team-mate Schalk Burger.
