JAQUE FOURIE

Born: 04.03.83
Height: 6ft 2in
Weight: 14st 4lb
Position: Full-back/Centre/Wing
Club: Cats
Caps: 0
Points: 0

An exciting full-back, Fourie is one of four uncapped players in the South Africa squad.

Only made his debut for club side the Lions in 2002, but stepped up in the Super 12 series this season, shining for the Cats until a back injury towards the end of the campaign ruled him out for two months.

Included in an initial 35-man training squad for the World Cup, that injury prevented him from making his Test debut before now, but he could be thrown into proceedings when South Africa take on some of the 'lesser' lights in the early stages.

Named as the Lions' Most Promising Player in 2002, he has also toured Italy and England with the South African U19s, and can also play in the centres or on the wing.
