Position: Prop
Club: Bulls
Caps: 1
Points: 0

A 33-year-old specialist loose-head prop who was born in the Canary Islands, Bezuidenhout's only Test appearance came in August against New Zealand.

Although he was only in the side due to the suspension of Robbie Kempson, he fully deserved his chance after a fine Super 12 season with the Bulls where he fought off the challenge of Springbok Wessel Roux, relegating him to the Vodacom Cup competition.

He also won a call-up to the A team in 2003, and capped off a superb year by being named in South Africa's World Cup squad.

A strong scrummager, he was a member of the Blue Bulls 1998 Currie Cup winning team, and will relish the opportunity if given a chance in Australia.
