Weight: 15st 7lb
Position: Centre
Club: NSW Waratahs
Caps: 3

An exciting centre who only made his Super 12 debut this season, Turinui is a former NSW Schoolboys captain.

An Australian U19 and U21 representative, he has also played in the national Sevens side, and made his Test debut against Ireland in June.

That capped a remarkable rise to fame, given he played the first four matches off the bench for the Waratahs this year, although his Test debut was nearly ruined when he had to pass a late fitness test after straining an abdominal muscle in the gym.

A real try-scoring machine, Turinui is a huge presence in the centres and can break even the best defence, although he has yet to use his size to good effect in defence.

Did his chances of World Cup selection no harm when he scored six tries for his Sydney club Randwick against Warringah shortly before the squad was chosen, including one fine chip and regather.
