Yet another former rugby league player in the Wallabies ranks, former Sharks star Rogers can play anywhere across the backline.

Rogers was recruited from the Sharks rugby league club at the end of the 2001 season, but not before starring at State of Origin level at rugby league and winning 11 caps for his country, as well as a World Cup.

However, despite being the son of rugby league legend Steve, Mat is a former Australian Schoolboy rugby union international, and as well as being versatile is also a fine goal-kicker.

Rogers made his Wallabies debut in a 29-17 victory over France last June in Melbourne, coming on as a replacement, and has since scored four Test tries.

One of those five-pointers came last year when he came on as a reserve against New Zealand at Stadium Australia and scored shortly after coming on the field, turning the game the way of the home team. Australia went on to win 16-14 thanks to a penalty on the stroke of full-time.
