NATHAN GREY

Born: 31.03.75
Height: 6ft
Weight: 15st 7lb
Position: Centre
Club: NSW Waratahs
Caps: 33
Points: 30

A rugged centre who is renowned for running hard and straight, Grey has won 33 caps for the Wallabies.

He moved from Queensland to NSW in late 1997, and the following year made his Test debut against Scotland, scoring with his second touch of the ball.

A year later he was part of the Australian squad that lifted the World Cup, although he played more of a part when the Wallabies defeated the British and Irish Lions in 2001.

2002 was almost a write-off however, as a knee injury in the closing stages of the Super 12 series meant he missed all that year's internationals.

A former Australian U21 skipper, Grey stepped in early this year when Elton Flatley was dropped for disciplinary reasons, doing a reasonable job in the unfamiliar role of fly-half as the Aussies went down to defeat against England.

To many people's surprise, he was then dropped without been given a run back in his favoured centre position, and leading up to the World Cup that remains his last outing for Australia.
