DAVID CROFT

Born: 22.02.79
Height: 6ft 1in
Weight: 15st 4lb
Position: Flanker
Club: Queensland Reds
Caps: 4
Points: 0

A surprise selection, open-side flanker Croft played all four Tests for the Wallabies in their 2002 end of season tour against Argentina, Ireland, England and Italy, but has played no part this year.

A former centre, Croft has good mobility and a good work-rate, and picked up the 2001 Australian Super 12 Rookie of the Year award.

A former A team skipper and U19, U21 and Sevens representative, Croft was chosen as 23rd man in Australia's opening Test of the season against Wales, but missed out to uncapped Queensland team-mate Daniel Heenan.

Started every Super 12 game for the Reds this season as his team finished a disappointing eighth on the ladder.

Yet to score a try in either Super 12 or Test rugby.
