MIKE JAMES

Born: 21.07.73
Position: Forward
Club: Stade Francais

An imposing figure standing 6ft 6in tall, James is one of the clutch of experienced forwards in the Canada squad.

Probably his countries leading forward, James has played in two World Cups already and has also been selected for the French Barbarian team on three occasions.

He plays his club rugby for Stade Francais in France, and with 48 caps to his name is poised to pass the half-century mark at this World Cup.

Super in the lineout and a fine scrummager, James has captained the side in the recent absence of Al Charron and a short-term injury to Ryan Banks.
