DIEGO ALBANESE
Born: 17.09.73
Position: Wing
Club: Leeds
Currently playing his club rugby with the Leeds Tykes, Albanese scored the only try of the match when Argentina defeated Ireland in the 1999 World Cup to progress through to the quarter-finals.
After spells with San Isidro Club (Argentina) and Grenoble (France) he joined Gloucester, then moved to the Tykes on a two-year contract in June 2002.
Only had limited opportunities with Gloucester, and gave the reason for joining Leeds as wanting to get regular first-team rugby in order to secure a place at the World Cup.
A real speed merchant, he has 11 Test match tries and is a real handful in attack.
While much focus is rightly given to Argentina's fine pack, expect Albanese to shine in Australia.
