WORLD CUP ARGENTINA

JUAN MARTIN HERNANDEZ

Born: 07.08.82
Position: Centre/Fly-half/Full-back
Club: Deportiva Francesa

Although Hernandez has won only four caps for his country, the 21-year-old is one of the most sought-after players in world rugby.

The versatile back – he can play inside centre, flyhalf or at fullback – has been linked with both Wasps and Leicester over the past year, and seems set for a move from Deportiva Francesa to Europe sooner rather than later.

His Test debut came in June this year against France, but already he has taken the full-back spot from the talented Ignacio Corleto.

A star in the Sevens game, he is a former U21 representative whose sister won a silver medal in hockey at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and he also has an uncle who played football for Argentina.
