OMAR HASAN

Born: 21.04.71
Position: Prop
Club: Agen

One of the best props in world rugby, Hasan now plies his trade with Agen in France.

A former junior backline star, he has played for Wellington in New Zealand, the ACT Brumbies in Australia and Auch in France before his move to Agen.

He made his Test debut against Uruguay in October 1995, and played in the 1999 World Cup finals.

A groin injury meant he missed some of Argentina's Tests earlier this year, but he will be fit and raring to go for his team's opening game against Australia in Sydney.

England star Jason Leonard rates Hasan as the toughest opponent he has faced in over 100 Test matches, yet amazingly he is a keen opera singer who has performed in front of large audiences.
