TAKURO MIUCHI

Born: 11.12.75
Position: Flanker/Number Eight

A huge forward capable of some massive hits in defence, Miuchi will skipper the Cherry Blossoms in Australia.

A former U23 star, he is able to inspire the team through his big hits and strong runs, and was made skipper of the side after just one full Test cap.

An Oxford Blue, Miuchi played in the 1998 Varsity Match and has also played club rugby in Italy.

Will need all of his skills to help Japan compete against Scotland, France, Fiji and the United States.
