Abusseridze's rugby career has taken him from Georgia's Army Rugby Club to Qochebi, and then French side Aurillac.
The diminutive back made his Test debut in January 2000 against Italy, and has now amassed 22 appearances and four tries.
Like most scrum-halves he is quick on his feet and always willing to do the unexpected, as Ireland found out when he caught them napping with a quickly-taken tap penalty in their World Cup qualifier last September.
