Romania's most skilful forward, Tonita plays his club rugby in France for Biarritz.

He started out with local side Birlad, making his Test debut in February 2000 against the Netherlands.

A move to France followed when he joined Grenoble, and after impressing there he moved up a division at the end of 2001 when Biarritz, the French champions, signed him.

At 6ft 5in he is superb in the lineout, and can play in either the lock position or number 8.

A powerful opponent, 23-year-old Tonita will definitely be one to watch down under.
