Uruguay's full-back, Menchaca shares the goalkicking duties with skipper Diego Aguirre.
He played in the 1999 World Cup, scoring a try against Spain, and booted four drop goals in Uruguay's win over Chile which confirmed Los Teros their place at the World Cup.
Can play on the wing, but he is a solid presence in the full-back role and that's sure to be where coach Diego Ormaechea plays him.
Plays his club rugby, like so many of the Uruguay squad, with local team Carrasco Polo.
