 TOURNAMENT PROSPECTS

For too long, Fiji has been synonymous with style over substance but the World Cup offers the current squad the chance to show they are more than entertainers.

The kings of cool when it comes to Sevens, Fiji find it hard to adapt their flamboyant style to 15-a-side rugby where team structures tend to be more rigid.

Fiji line up in Pool B alongside France, Scotland, Japan and the USA with qualification not out of the question.

To do that they will realistically have to beat Scotland and be consistent against USA and Japan.

While that is still a possibility rather than a probability, Fiji do have some quality players at their disposal.

Captain Greg Smith may not be the most physical of hookers but his lack of stature is more than compensated for by his aggression, power and pace.

Squad: Rupeni Caucaunibuca, Vilimoni Delasau, Alifereti Doviverata, Bill Gadolo, Emori Katalau, Sisa Koyamaibole, Kele Leawere, Norman Ligairi, Nicky Little, Vula Maimur, Alivereti Mocelutu, Apisai Naevo, Richard Nyholt, Samisoni Rabaka, Seru Rabeni, Isaia Rasila, Moses Rauluni, Ifereimi Rawaqa, Saimoni Rokini, Epeli Ruivadra, Kitione Salawa, Waisale Serevi, Nacanieli Seru, Koli Sewabu, Greg Smith, Seta Tawake, Aisea Tuilevu, Alfier Uluinayau, Joe Veitayaki, Marika Vunibaka.
