Worsley stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Lawrence Dallaglio at club level but is yet to force his way into the England starting line-up on a regular basis.
With Neil Back dropped for the trip to Rome, the Wasps man got the chance to make the openside flanker position his own, but injury allowed Chris Jones to take his place for the clash with Scotland.
The visit of Ireland allowed Worsley to reclaim his place, though, but he was again on the bench against Wales.
Worsley - like Dallaglio - is happy in all three positions in the back row and has already won 30 caps, several in place of his club captain during his injury problems.
At 18, Worsley became the youngest player to represent England at Under-21 level and he has taken to the full international scene like the proverbial duck to water.
And with a mentor like Dallaglio, it is no wonder Wasps' website describes the man they call 'Melonhead' as "a legend – and going to become one of the all-time greats.
