 SIX NATIONS ENGLAND
Picture Robinson - elusive runner.

Jason Robinson

Born: 30.07.74
Height: 5ft 8in
Weight: 13st 2lb
Position: Wing/Full-back
Club: Sale Sharks
Caps: 32
Points: 95

Robinson's ability at the highest level of his adopted code was proven beyond doubt in Australia and sealed with a memorable try that established England's first-half lead in the World Cup final.

And just to put icing on the cake, the Sale man opened the Six Nations with a hat-trick out of the unfamiliar inside centre position against Italy.

Without question the most exciting runner in world rugby, whenever Robinson - nicknamed 'Billy Whizz' - picks up the ball a collective intake of breath can be heard across the stadium.

Made his England debut in the 2001 Six Nations and after just three replacement appearances was selected for the British Lions' tour of Australia.

His club position is full-back, but his versatility and Josh Lewsey's form meant he ended the World Cup on the wing.

He started the Six Nations at inside centre but is now back in the number 15 shirt with Iain Balshaw dropped.

A true entertainer, Robinson can leave the best defences grasping at thin air with his elusive running style which sees him step effortlessly off either foot.

If an opposing Six Nations team can neutralise Robinson, they can remove one of England's greatest weapons - but no team has yet found a way.
