 SIX NATIONS ENGLAND
Picture Hill - brilliant all-rounder

Richard Hill

Born: 23.05.73
Height: 6ft 1in
Weight: 15st 13lb
Position: Number Eight/Flanker
Club: Saracens
Caps: 67
Points: 55

Hill's experience, reliability and all-round prowess make him one of England's most valuable players, and one of the best flankers in the world.

After sustaining a hamstring injury in England's opening World Cup game, he returned to the starting line-up for the semi-final against France to screw the side's already formidable scrummaging ability up another notch.

The Saracens flanker has represented his country at every level from Under 16s upwards and since his debut in 1997's Calcutta Cup has proved a vital member of both the England and British Lions set-ups.

He has speed, power, vision, regularly pops up in the right place at the right time to score tries and is equally at home in the scrum, line-out or with the ball in his hands.

Unsurpassable in attitude and ability, Hill is an England lynchpin and a fearsome opponent for the other Six Nations contenders.
